The National Weather Service in Tucson has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... Southern Pima County in southeastern Arizona... * Until 1015 PM MST. * At 824 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated another round of thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Topawa, Vamori, South Komelik and Coldfields. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Indian Route 19 south of Topawa. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Tucson, Casas Adobes, Drexel Heights, Flowing Wells, Tucson Mountain Park, Tucson Estates, Valencia West and Ryan AirField. This includes the following highways... Interstate 19 between mile markers 60 and 63. Route 86 between mile markers 157 and 171. Route 77 between mile markers 70 and 72. Interstate 10 between mile markers 249 and 260.
